An Open Letter To All The Dreamers

An Open Letter To All The Dreamers
Dear Dreamers,
The ones who wake up every morning, believing that it will be a good day. The ones who sit by the window every morning with a cup of tea/coffee in their hand. Or simply the ones who go about their day finding something good in everything; this one is for you.
This one is for you because your heart is filled with hope and your mind is filled with positivity. This one is for you because you find happiness in the smallest of things, even though the world around you thinks otherwise. I want you to know that even though everything seems to be going downhill, you need to keep dreaming and keep the heart filled with hope and positivity. I want you to know that the fact that you find beauty in everything, brings a little ray of hope to the people who are deep in distress and have lost faith in the goodness of the world. I want you to keep believing in everything that you’ve always known.
Believe that there are good people in this world, believe that there are people who are always ready to help, believe that there are people who are selfless and lastly believe that humanity still persists. You have the immense power that so many people strive for. You have an eagerness to create change, and with the mindset of a dreamer and a person with hope, I’m sure it’ll happen. There will be times where you will question yourself, where you will second guess your judgements and times where you will think that you are absolutely insane for being a dreamer.
Embrace all these thoughts, and tell yourself, that it is okay to be a dreamer. This world needs dreamers, it needs people who still believe in love, even if they have got their heart broken, because it’s true; everyone will find love someday, and everything will be okay. It’s okay to be a dreamer, whether you’re a 10 year old who believes that her prince charming will come on a white horse, or a 16 year old who still believes in the same. Being a dreamer doesn’t mean you’re naive and immature, it just means that you have the ability to look at the positivity in everything.
Every successful person started off their journey to success by simply dreaming. So whether it a simple exam you need to pass, a person you need to win over a college you need to get accepted to, it all starts by dreaming and believing that you can do it. Don’t listen to the people who try to tell you the facts, and that you won’t be able to make it. They must be telling you this so that you don’t get hurt, but how will you know that unless you try.
We weren’t put on this Earth to be realistic. If that was the case, then life would be stagnant, because every new creation, every new discovery and invention, was all because someone dreamed of achieving something. Never let yourself get cheated out of the opportunity to achieve something great just because someone along the way told you it was silly, even if that someone is yourself.
Remember that five year old girl/boy who used to get excited about getting a new toy? Yes, that five year old is still there deep within, so do yourself a favour and keep dreaming. Don’t disappoint that five year old. You’re capable of great things, just keep believing in yourself even if no one else does. Work hard for what you want, dream big and keep believing. Appreciate the little things. Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.
